Hi there, Claudia!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. How exciting that you are currently looking forward to a day at
Magic Kingdom Park! My favorite way to begin a magical morning includes a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. with a cold brew coffee, enjoying a
Cheshire Cat tail, and a stop for a quick photo (or ten) at Cinderella Castle before venturing over to Adventureland where the crowds always seem to be a bit lighter bright and early.
I'm happy to share that you are more than welcome to utilize the
Walt Disney World Monorail System to travel between
EPCOT and Magic Kingdom Park. Once you arrive at EPCOT keep an eye out for signage to the EPCOT Monorail station located just in front of the main entrance to the theme park. Once aboard, you will need to disembark upon arrival at the Transportation and Ticket Center and board a Monorail bound for Magic Kingdom. While the Express Monorail will get you to the Magic Kingdom more quickly, I always enjoy taking the Resort Monorail as it provides a mini tour of some of the most luxurious
Disney Resorts Collection hotels Walt Disney World has to offer before arriving at Magic Kingdom Park. If you are planning to take a hotel shuttle from EPCOT at the end of your day as well, keep in mind that the EPCOT Monorail suspends service two hours after the park closes while the Monorails that service Magic Kingdom will cease operations one hour after park closure. The
Hours and Events Calendar will keep you up to date on operating hours during your visit.
I just love riding the Monorail, Claudia. Since you'll be visiting in mid-March, I suggest staying aboard the EPCOT Monorail once you reach the Transportation and Ticket Center in the morning. On your way back to the EPCOT Monorail station you will be treated to a loop through the theme park (no ticket required) that will provide you with spectacular aerial views of the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival and newly unveiled refurbishments before making the journey back to the Transportation and Ticket Center. If you wind up enjoying the 'public transport of the future' as much as I do, I bet you'll love the
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, Magic Kingdom Park's 'highway in the sky' as well.
I hope this was helpful, Claudia, and that you have a wonderful time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Don't hesitate to
stop back by (no Monorail transfers necessary) with any additional questions that arise!
Cheers to 2024,
Lizzie
