Hi there, Keith! I am so glad you found us here at planDisney to ask your ticket question.
I have had this same issue recently. My son had a ticket that expired on September 30, and our trip was until October 3. I needed to be sure that the older ticket was used first, so that when we arrived to Magic Kingdom for the 50th anniversary on October 1, he wouldn’t be denied admission.
To do this, I simply visited the
Guest Relations window outside the EPCOT International Gateway. I find the lines here to always be the shortest of any of the Guest Relations, but you can do this at any theme park or Disney Springs. The very helpful Cast Member scanned my son’s MagicBand and pulled up his tickets. She then set the older one as the primary ticket, so that it would be used first. It was a super quick process and gave me the peace of mind that I needed.
Since you don’t want that no expiration ticket to be used, this is the process I would recommend, just to be sure. I feel like a few extra minutes spent at Guest Relations is better than finding out later that the wrong ticket was used.
I hope your January visit for
The Most Magical Celebration on Earth is great! The weather should be perfect for you to enjoy walking around the theme parks.
Happy Traveling,
Tracy
