I have a ticket that expires December 17th 2021 but will be in the park December 24th. Will it work out or not? And is the 24th and 25th of December a block out date for a 1 day complimentary ticket? Park hipper option included

    Hello Nico!

Welcome to planDisney! I know many of us had to cancel and reschedule so many vacations because of the COVID-19 pandemic. My family was in this situation as well.

Nico, since you are asking not about a standard 1-Day ticket, but a complimentary ticket, it is difficult to know all the correct details for you, as there are many different types of complimentary tickets that have different rules and block-out dates. Ideally, the best thing to do is to call and speak with a Cast Member over the phone. Here at planDisney, we are Guests just like you, and so I am not able to look at your account details. But I can give you some general guidance. It looks like you are coming from outside the United States, and so I am sure that makes a phone call challenging.

Your next option is to wait until arrival. If your ticket expires on December 17, I would not count on being able to use it past the expiration date since it is a complimentary ticket. If you had purchased the ticket, you would be able to use it after the expiration date by paying any upgrade fees to raise the value of the ticket to the current admission price for that day. The other issue is that you need to make a Disney Park Pass Reservation to enter the theme park. If you plan to visit on December 24th or 25th, you are talking about two of the most popular days of the year to visit, and so even if you wait and have your ticket upgraded upon arrival, it is likely that some or all of the theme parks will be booked solid and you still won’t be able to use the ticket.

I do have a possible third option. If you visit the Walt Disney World Website during Florida business hours, begin browsing the availability of resort rooms for next year. Very often you’ll see a pop-up window come up that offers you the ability to chat with a Cast Member. Take this chat and ask about your tickets! Hopefully, they could get you the information from their computer system without the need for a lengthy international phone call.

I hope this helps, Nico! And I hope you can make a magical visit to the Walt Disney World Resort over the holidays!
