Thx for your help on a past trip! Planning next one Sept 2013 w/ 4 grchildren. Thinking about using a Disney travel agent. How can I make sure they are approved/legitimate? Is a travel agent a good plan? Hoping to get free DP, too. More ?s to come!

    Janet,

First off, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner is a GREAT way to go. I recommend them highly, and consider them a "Must Do!" for even the shortest of trips. They are also great for Adventures by Disney, Disney Cruise Line, and other Disney-related travel.

And make sure they are a no-fee agency. They will be pretty clear that they are one on their website or in replies to your inquiries.

But how do you know you have one for sure? That is a bit harder, but you can do it.  Authorized Disney Vacation Planners are provided a logo that they use in their marketing. It has a set of Mickey ears and that exact naming of the program. You can see it on the home page of such travel agencies as Mouse Fan Travel (on the right column, near the top), and Dreams Unlimited (very bottom of page). These are two great examples of great agencies to use.

They are VERY helpful. I just hope that they are not SO helpful that you don't send me lots of new questions! We need to get those grand kids ready for the trip of a lifetime, right?

    Have a magical vacation!
