Hi there, Judith!
I was just gathering up all my rain gear for my upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! One thing I know I can count on for sure when visiting Walt Disney World Resort in the summer months is that it will be hot, and there will be rain! We try to be prepared with waterproof sandals and rain ponchos. Usually, storms are brief and we manage to time it so we are taking a break at our resort hotel before heading back into the parks when the storms have cleared.
If you need to change the dates of your theme park tickets, you may be able to do this yourself in your My Disney Experience account. On the
My Disney Experience website, use the drop-down menu in the upper right corner to select My Plans, and then the blue link on the left with the words "Tickets & Memory Maker". Next to each ticket look for the option to "Change Ticket", select new dates, and then confirm your choices. If selecting dates with a higher ticket price you will need to pay the difference. Don't forget to cancel your current
Disney Park Pass reservations and then make new reservations for your new dates. I strongly caution you to check the
theme park reservation availability calendar prior to making any changes to your tickets -- reservations are limited, and some parks have no availability in the coming weeks.
If you have booked a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel room or vacation package, since your visit is only a few days away you'll want to
call the Disney Resort Hotel reservations line at (407) 939-1936 to inquire about your options for modifying or canceling your reservation.
Judith, I hope you'll be able to work something out so you can share all the magic of Walt Disney World Resort with your grandchildren. Please stop by planDisney again anytime. We are always happy to help.
Anne Marie
