Aloha, Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney, where, like Stitch, we enjoy watching the sun set beyond the horizon. You'll have a magical time on your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit, and adding a water park will surely be a highlight. I've chaperoned middle-school students at the Disney water parks, and the teachers had as much fun as the kids! But there's so much to do on a Disney vacation, and I understand you might have other activities that would take you out of the water park. Let's check the policy for diving back in after you leave.
Jennifer, I spoke to a gnarly Cast Member who said you could leave the water park and re-enter it later on the same day. Keep in mind there's always a chance the water park could reach capacity or be temporarily closed due to severe weather, but on most days, you should able to come back in and enjoy another Stitch-approved Hawaiian roller coaster ride, also known as the
Surf Pool!
One tip is to check out the
Beachcomber Shacks at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. These covered areas offer a shaded area with comfy seating for up to ten guests and include towels, lockers, cold water, and more. I've found these provide a convenient home base for your group, especially adults who might prefer sunning on the golden sand like Lilo. You can
book these cabanas online 60 days in advance, so you are within that window. I'm sending pixie dust and ocean spray that you'll be able to book one!
Jennifer, I hope you have the best time on your visit, and
stop by planDisney with any other questions. You're O'hana now, and that means family!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
