Hi Danielle!
I'm excited to hear your Walt Disney World Vacation is almost here. I'm sure you're all looking forward to a magical time at the parks and resorts!
I'm happy to let you know that each Walt Disney World park features a
Baby Care Center. Don't let the name fool you - these centers are great for toddlers and young children as well. Each Baby Care Center features a toddler-sized toilet as well as other amenities to make your park day more enjoyable. Centers are conveniently located so that you can visit them often as you tour the parks.
One thing that helped me when my children were potty training was to carry a pack of post-it notes with me. You can use these to block the auto-flush feature of the toilet so that young children aren't frightened. When you're ready, you can simply remove the paper and flush the toilet. Another option is to carry a small, foldable potty seat (tucked into a plastic bag) in your diaper bag. These small, affordable seats could end up being a life-saver if an emergency happens.
And, speaking of plastic bags, throw a couple of extras into your diaper or day bag. They are great for not only any accidents that may happen, but can also do double duty to keep phones and other important items dry during water rides like
Splash Mountain or
Kali River Rapids!
I hope you have a great vacation!
Kathie
