I have three questions: 1) If the weather is rainy, will there be things to do on Nassau and Castaway Cay? 2) Will we be charged for our excursion on Nassau if we cancel due to rain? 3) On a 5 day/4 night cruise, is there a formal or semi-formal dinner?

    Welcome back, Dennisa!

I love that Disney Cruise Line offers so many different Port Adventures from which to choose. These can be cancelled up to three days prior to sailing, but after that, the reservations are final. There are some exceptions to this, which if applicable to whichever adventure you choose, will be noted on the details for that adventure.

There is still plenty to do if it rains in Nassau or Castaway Cay. If you're not leaving the ship in Nassau, tons of activities go on all day inside the ship. Depending on your adventure on the island, there will still be lots to see and do. If you're headed to Atlantis, for example, the majority of The Dig site there, which is a replica of the Lost City of Atlantis, is inside, so even if it's rainy, you'll enjoy a wonderful day exploring the aquarium! The last time we were there, we got caught is a huge shower as we left the resort, so we have the funniest memories of walking back the long cruise dock to the ship once we took the shuttle from the resort, and just being drenched as we arrived! The Cast Members were handing out towels as we boarded and there was laughter everywhere because a soaking wet day on vacation is still better than a sunny day at the office, right?

At Castaway Cay, there are plenty of covered areas if a rain shower pops up, so don't worry about that. Quite often the showers are quick and passing, and before you know it, you'll be back out in the sun on the beach. If it gets really rainy, the ship is right there!

The four night sailings include three cruise casual attire nights and one optional dress up night. If you're planning to bring dressy clothes, that optional dress up night is the night to break them out! Dennisa, please stop back if we can answer anything else before you head out to sea!
