Hello there we are about to take our three kids under 10 to disney world for the first time! Please tell me how I can rent a double stroller for length of stay and is this something I can do before I go or does it have to be done when I get to the park?

Oh boy, Audrey! Thanks for reaching out to planDisney. It sure is swell that you have a trip to visit Mickey and his pals in a few short days!

I typically log about 6 miles of walking daily on my Walt Disney World trips, and my family likes to joke that EPCOT stands for "every person comes out tired!" My three kids are older now, but I remember how quickly those little legs would tire out. Even kiddos who don't regularly use a stroller appreciate a place to sit down and rest; I usually feel this way myself by the end of the day)!

Schlepping a double stroller around on a plane or on Disney transportation can be exhausting in itself, and many parents find it more appealing to rent their strollers directly through Walt Disney World. Unfortunately, advance rentals aren't available. However, since you're visiting for several days and you know you want a stroller for the length of your trip, you can get a multi-day discount by pre-paying upfront. Hang on to your receipt, as you'll need to show it each day upon arrival at the rental location to receive your stroller for the day. These strollers must be returned before leaving the theme park, so keep that in mind if you plan to park hop.

If you'd like to reserve your stroller ahead of time, consider going through an outside vendor. ScooterBug is a Disney-approved provider, and if you plan to stay at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, they can coordinate with Cast Members to manage deliveries and returns, making the process easy peasy! This way, you take the stroller back to your hotel at the end of the day. If you want more information, they can be reached at (800) 726-8284 or scooterbug.com/orlando.

I have a few planDisney tips for you, Audrey! Pack an extra poncho for your stroller. If there is rain in the forecast, you can keep it covered when going into an indoor attraction or restaurant. Since so many strollers look alike, tie a fun ribbon or balloon on the handle to help you spot it in the stroller parking areas. Lastly, pick up some complimentary 1st Time Visit buttons for your Mouseketeers at any Guest Relations or merchandise location. See ya real soon!
