Would you take three kids ages 9,8 and 4 to Disney World during the Thanksgiving Holidays? Looking to go November 23-30, 2013.

    Hi Tracy!

November is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! The theme parks and resorts will be decorated for the holidays, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins at Magic Kingdom, and the sights and sounds of the season welcome guests to enjoy the Most Magical Place on Earth!

Traditionally, the week of Thanksgiving happens to be one of the busiest times at WDW, second behind Christmas/New Years week. As most students are off from school for vacation, the parks see an increase in attendance and pricing for the resorts is premium at this time. If I could recommend a week for you and your family to enjoy the parks, it would be the week immediately after Thanksgiving. Many guests return home the Sunday after Turkey day, and the crowd level are (happily) quite low. Plus the weather is usually just wonderful, enabling you to enjoy the parks and the attractions at your leisure.

Should you choose to go during Thanksgiving week with your youngins', I would recommend having a concrete plan. Know what parks and attractions you want to see first, and make a list of priorities from each child. In that way, you will be able make sure they enjoy the attractions that are tops on their list. Research (via this forum or other independent websites) what parks are crowded on what days and when there is peak attendance (Magic Kingdom consistently has larger crowds than the other parks).

Hi there! The Disney Parks have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. Introducing my children, husband, and family to all the magic that Walt Disney World can offer has led to countless moments with Mickey and Friends, Disney Vacation Club membership and fun on the high seas with Disney Cruise Lines! Our vacations are usually centered around a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I am super excited to help you plan and create magical moments for you and your families!
