This will be three generations coming for the first time for my family. Are we allowed to bring drinks and snacks with us?

    Hi Andrea!

I am excited for you that you are taking a multi-generational trip to Walt Disney World! This is going to be a trip that will make memories to last a lifetime!

You will be happy to hear that Guests can bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks into the parks with just a few guidelines to keep in mind.

    1. All drinks need to be non-alcoholic and in a non-glass container
    2. Food must not require heating, reheating, processing, or refrigeration
    3. If you bring your food in a cooler or backpack, keep in mind that it needs to be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide by 19" high. Also, no coolers, bags, or suitcases with wheels are allowed in the parks.
I often bring little snacks into the park and I find it to be helpful, especially if you have any medical issues that require food to be on hand for immediate consumption.

I also want to make a few dining suggestions that your family will enjoy! There are several new 50th anniversary treats that are super yummy, such as Walt’s Chili-Cheese Fries at Casey's Corner in the Magic Kingdom and the Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I also want to provide a few tips and tricks on multi-generational trips to Disney!

    1. While there is a good chance that grandparents and littles alike will enjoy the classic attractions, such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant or "it's a small world", build your day with a good mix of attractions that will appeal to everyone while also allowing breaks for those who need them.
    2. Don't be afraid to allow some time and space for family members to explore the parks separately. Some in your party might be early-risers and want to explore at a leisurely pace while others might be night owls who speed walk to every attraction. Just make sure that you decide on a specific meet-up place and time ahead of time.
    3. Link family and friends in your travel party through the My Disney Experience mobile app so they can all can view PhotoPass photos, Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservations, and theme park reservations.

Please let planDisney know if we can help you with any other questions you have to make your trip absolutely magical!

    Magically,
    Stacy
