It’s a bibbidi bobbidi beautiful day at planDisney, Nina!
I love it when a fellow Texan stops by with a question for us.
How very exciting that you’re planning a magical vacation with your grand-Mouseketeers in December! You’ll love spending
holidays at the parks with Mickey wreaths adorning lamp posts, trying gingerbread treats, and seeing the great big Christmas trees; I absolutely love the festive mood they put me in!
Nina, I have to tell you I love that you have wholly unused theme park tickets from a while back! It’s definitely time you put them to use and come to the ball, I mean, Walt Disney World Resort!
Your tickets should work, but I definitely recommend reaching out to the Ticket Usage team because you’ll want to begin planning soon rather than waiting later. You see, currently,
Disney Park Pass reservations are needed, along with tickets, to enter the theme parks, and these reservations do tend to fill up quickly, especially during the holidays. And since we wouldn’t want the clock to strike midnight on your family’s plans, I recommend as soon as your family decides to
purchase their tickets and you’re able to get your current tickets linked, to go ahead and make your Disney Park Pass reservations.
You can request information on how many days are on your ticket(s) by emailing Ticket.Usage@DisneyWorld.com. Please include a photo of the front and back of the ticket, a copy of your Government-issued I.D., your name, and a daytime phone number. Be sure that the message is no greater than 2 megabytes. If you have multiple tickets that cause the message to be greater than 2 megabytes, send separate messages or compress the information prior to sending. The normal processing time for this request is five to seven business days.
If you need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to
call and speak with a friendly Cast Member at Existing Tickets. You may find yourself waiting a bit before being connected; however, as Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother said, “…even miracles take a little time,” Cast Members are working diligently and will be happy to help you as soon as they can. I find myself waiting less when I call first thing in the morning.
Nina, if you have any
grand-babies or preschool-aged Mouseketeers going, I would encourage you to check out the
Baby Care Centers, which are located in every theme park. They provide clean, spacious areas to feed, change, nurse, pump, and have a small shop if you need to purchase small items like diapers or wipes. And if any siblings need to wait, there is a television available there with cartoons!
You also may find the
Rider Switch service to be helpful. This service helps families who have Guests in their parties who cannot or do not want to board an attraction. It allows an adult to wait with the non-rider while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. Once the riders return to the waiting party, an adult from this party can supervise the non-riding Guest while the waiting adult can board the attraction without waiting in the regular queue!
I hope you and your family have an enchanting time together, Nina!
