Welcome to planDisney, Beth! I'm so happy you're here and thank you for sending this question over to us. We love helping our fellow Guests with personalized advice to help you make the magic on your Disney vacation!
Adding a day to your Disneyland Resort visit is always a good idea! That means you'll have more time for more magic! Unless otherwise stated in your original ticket purchase, you can
apply the price paid for your 3-day wholly-unused ticket to the cost of a new ticket of equal or greater value. In this case, I would recommend reaching out to the
Tickets line to speak with a Cast Member about this option. You'll also want to know that any theme park reservations associated with your original ticket would likely be cancelled, and you would need to make new theme park reservations on your new 4-day ticket. For this reason, I always like to recommend that Guests
check the reservation availability in advance, especially if your visit coincides with a special event, a holiday, or an otherwise popular date.
Beth, you may also request the ticket change at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths in-person once you arrive at the Disneyland Resort. But, my recommendation is still to call in advance and ask about this process so you're fully prepared with whatever might be needed to secure your change in tickets.
I hope this has been helpful, Beth. And, be sure to check back soon for all the details about
Halloween Time at Disneyland Resort, which kicks off this year on August 23 - just in time for your visit! It'll be a grim, grinning, good time! If we can help with anything else as you continue your planning process, please feel welcome to reach out to
planDisney again, at any point.
Wishing you Wondrous Journeys,
Tishra
