What are thoughts on an 11 and 8 year old staying at Grande Floridian verses the Poly?

    Hi Becca!

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are my two favorite places to stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!  Both of these incredible resorts are located on the Resort Monorail loop, and they both have water transportation to Magic Kingdom Park.  If that wasn't already enough, you can even see Cinderella Castle and the fireworks from certain places in both resorts!

That being said, I feel like Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a more "grown-up" feel to it.  The classic elegance and modern luxury of the resort really can't be beaten.  Of course, there are still plenty of experiences there for the younger ones like Disney's Perfectly Princess Tea or the character meals at 1900 Park Fare!

Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is fun, flowery, and will immediately put a smile on anyone's face, so it may be more initially appealing to the younger ones.  Between incredible experiences like meeting Lilo and Stitch during a character breakfast at 'Ohana and going to Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, the excitement never ends!

Both choices are absolutely phenomenal, so I'm sure no matter what you choose, you won't be disappointed!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!

Hi y’all!  I am an Army wife, a college instructor, a dog-mom, and a lover of all things Disney!  Planning a Disney vacation is my favorite pastime—other than actually going on a Disney vacation, of course—and I love helping others make the most of their magical trip!  If I am not at the Walt Disney World Resort, I am putting the pixie-dusted touches on my next trip!
