Ahoy, Frank!
I understand your dilemma, but my first thought is that anyone can have a magical time onboard Disney Cruise Line. If you are looking to meet others in your same boat, the cruise staff does host "Cruisin' Solo Gatherings" on each sailing. Your daily cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator, will have all the details. Beyond that, there are many ways
adults can experience a Disney Cruise on their own. All four vessels have dedicated adult-only spaces that I think you'll absolutely love including the
Quiet Cove Pool area. It is a tranquil area for relaxing on those lazy sea days. At night, the adult-only lounges host trivia, live musicians, karaoke and game shows. Tasting classes and adult-only meals (both available for an additional fee) at Palo (all four ships) or Remy (Dream and Fantasy only) are ways to indulge in fine dining and drinks while onboard. When you venture ashore, you can choose Port Adventures for everyone or the "adult-only" choices that Disney Cruise Line offers. On
Castaway Cay, Disney's private island paradise, adults have their own white sandy beach area to enjoy-Serenity Bay. Pampering can happen either on the island (an open-air massage) or back on the ship at the spa. There are many treatments options to help relax you while on your cruise vacation. This is just a taste at what you can expect on your Disney Cruise vacation, so I hope it gives you a better idea of what to expect.
If you are a Disney fan and want to see your favorite Disney pals and experience the magic and wonder of a Disney Cruise than I would definitely try out at least a three-night or four-night voyage to see how you like it. There really is something for everyone, Frank!
Have a magical day!
Nancy
