Hi, I thought I saw somewhere that selfie sticks are. Or allowed in the parks at Disneyworld. But I’ve seen some YouTube videos where they are using gimbals. Could you help clarify if these are allowed in the parks? Thank you!

Hi there Bryce! I am so happy you've returned to planDisney with another question. Thank you!

Filming content and taking photos at Walt Disney World Resort is part of the fun (at least for me!) during a visit! Selfie sticks of any kind unfortunately are not permitted at the theme parks, or the water parks. I asked a Cast Member about bringing in a Gimbal, and as long as it doesn't extend, is not taller than 6 ft, and can fit inside your park bag, you should be okay to use it! My planDisney pal, LeAndra, also brings in a Gimbal during her visits!

Along with taking personal photos at Walt Disney World, I love having Disney PhotoPass photographers take them too! By purchasing Memory Maker in advance, you can get all the digital images taken during your vacation, including characters, iconic backgrounds like Cinderella Castle, and even select attraction photos! This is a fun way to get that holiday photo in before sending Christmas cards!

Bryce, thank you again for visiting planDisney! It was fun answering another question. Please come back at any time with more questions! Just like Jiminy Cricket, we are happy to "be your guide!".
