Hello, I thought I saw somewhere in the Disney materials a child riding a horse. My daughter is 8 and loves horses. Is there anywhere in Disney she can go to ride a horse? Thank you.

Hi, Warren!  Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground is the place to go to find the horses.  They have tours of the stables, pony rides, and they also offer guided trail rides.

The only hitch is that the age requirement for the guided trail rides is nine, and the child must be at least 48 inches tall.  If your daughter meets those requirements prior to your vacation, you're good to go.  The trail rides last about 45 minutes and cost about $46, and the trail rides can be reserved up to 30 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-PLAY.

The pony rides are for children up to eight years old and 80 pounds.  They are $5 per ride.

I hope this helps with your planning!
