Hello there, Tobi! Welcome to planDisney. As someone who has also built a lightsaber at
Savi’s Workshop, I can tell you it’s one of the most memorable experiences you can have on Batuu.
At this time, there isn’t an official “procession,” parade, or guided photo experience that takes Guests from Savi’s Workshop to the Trilon Wishing Tree after building a lightsaber. Once you’ve built your lightsaber, you’re free to explore
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at your own pace. The Trilon Wishing Tree (located just outside Savi’s Workshop) is absolutely available for photos, and it’s a fantastic spot to capture that “I’ve just built my saber” moment. Many Guests naturally gravitate there, so it can sometimes feel like an unofficial gathering point for new recruits to the Jedi Order.
If you’re hoping to capture some truly stellar photos, keep an eye out for
Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout Batuu. They’re often stationed near iconic spots like the
Millennium Falcon or along the marketplace paths, and they can help you strike a dueling pose or a quiet, reflective Jedi moment. In my experience, they’re great at helping you make the most of that newly ignited blade.
To make this a day that will be long remembered, I highly recommend planning at least one evening in Galaxy’s Edge. As the suns set on Batuu, the land takes on a completely different energy. The glow of lightsabers becomes more vivid, the sounds of distant ships echo through the outpost, and it feels a bit like stepping into your own Star Wars story. It’s the perfect time for photos near the Falcon or even a quiet moment by the Trilon Wishing Tree.
Tobi, I hope this helps you feel ready to chart your own course on Batuu. Feel free to visit us again here at planDisney if you have any other questions.
May the Force be with you!
David
