Ahoy, Quinn!
It sounds like you are planning on experiencing some splashtacular fun on your upcoming Disney Cruise vacation! Your crew will be in luck because there are so many opportunities to enjoy getting wet on board including the freshwater pools, slides,
water coasters,
water play areas and the whirlpool spas.
I did a little checking for you and did not see goggles listed under the
"Prohibited Cruise Items" on the Disney Cruise Line website. I also checked the "Know Before You Go" sections that are included in the Onboard Activities descriptions and couldn't find anything there either. I can confirm that goggles can be worn in all the water areas I listed above with the exception of the
AquaDunk on the Disney Magic. Swim masks that go over the nose and eyes can be worn in all the pools, but not on the slides. I hope this helps clear up any confusion you may have about what you should bring with you on board to protect your eyes while swimming.
Complimentary pool vests are available in the pool areas and at Pelican Plunge on Castaway Cay, but you are more than welcome to bring your own life vests from home. The floatation vests provided by Disney Cruise Line cannot be taken off the ship if you have a beach day planned or some type of splashtacular adventure in port.
It was my pleasure assisting you today, Quinn. Please visit us anytime here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Have a magical day!
Nancy
