Thought I heard that Disney charges you if you cancel an ADR less than 24 hours out? What is the penalty and does this apply to all ADRs or just for certain restaurants? I thought I was a Disney expert but you guys put me to shame! Thanks!

The only time you are charged for a no-show or non-canceled meal reservation at WDW is at restaurants where you need to leave a credit card to hold a reservation. This list is subject to change, but currently includes:

    - Cinderella's Royal Table
    - Princess Storybook meals at the Akershus in Epcot
    - Fantasmic Dinner Packages
    - Hoop Dee Doo Revue
    - Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show
    - Victoria & Alberts
    - Citricos
    - Mickey's Backyard BBQ
    - some meals during holidays

Some of these meals have a 24 hour cancelation policy and some have a 48 hour cancelation policy. If you are dining at one of these venues and have a concern, it is best to call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE and confirm the current policy with them.

If you did not leave a credit card to hold a reservation, then you will not be assessed a penalty for a no-show or late cancelation.

    Have a great trip!
