Thnx 4 help Moms & Dads. DD10 & I on Fantasy Mar 2013. Arrive day before & poss leave day after. Lots of info on web pro & con Disney trans to port. Would appreciate any input on what you think &/or use.

    Hi Heather!

It's wonderful to hear from you again!  You have a great question, and I hope my answer will help you with your decision.  The biggest pro to traveling with Disney is the convenience.  It is very easy to hop on board the motor coach and ride comfortably to the port while watching a Disney DVD to get you into cruise mode.  Since your luggage will be tagged with your name & stateroom number you won't have to worry about dealing with it at the port.  Disney Cruise Line will take care of that for you, and you will see it later on in the day in your stateroom.

One of the biggest cons you will face is you won't be able to control the time and speed of your ground transfer.  You will be told when and where to be on the mornings of embarkation & disembarkation.  You will  arrive at the port with a motor coach full of passengers who will be boarding with you.  The castmembers at the port are very efficient, but sometimes the lines will get backed up when large groups arrive.

I sure hope this helps!  Thanks again for using the Moms Panel for your cruise planning.  I look forward to hearing from you again as you prepare for your magical voyage!

    Have a fantastical day!
