Thnx Erin for helping us to decide to stick w/our current ressie@Wilderness Lodge! Two more questions for you...can you see Wishes from anywhere on resort property? Can you swim in the lake by the beach?@CBR swimming was prohibited in the lake!Thnx again:)

    Hi Diana,

The Wilderness Lodge is positioned in a way such that, despite the proximity to the Magic Kingdom, the sight lines to Wishes are not great. You could probably see some of the fireworks from the boat dock, but this is not idea. As an alternative, I suggest that you hop on a boat from the WL to Fort Wilderness. The ride itself is only about five minutes long. The beach at FW has a full view of the fireworks portion of Wishes. They even play the Wishes music each night from the FW beach so you can get a fuller impression of the show. The FW beach has plenty of room and even some comfy deck chairs if you get there early.

There is no swimming allowed in the lakes anywhere at WDW. My kids have gotten away with wading in about up to their knees, but you're not going to be able to get any further into the lake anywhere on property.

Good luck with your planning. Let me know if I can provide more help.
