We are thinking,of going to Disney world the last week of April or first week of may are those busy times ?

Hi Melissa! I have a plan of action when I begin working on my family’s next Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Step one of that plan always involves figuring out our dates of stay, with a preference for weeks that are generally slower. There are some really great Disney-related websites that produce crowd calendars to help Guests get a general idea of how busy the parks may be during their visit. I have had really good success using these calendars to guide me in choosing the most appropriate dates for our family to travel to our “happy place.”

Take a look at two of my favorite websites – www.easywdw.com and www.wdwprepschool.com. They both show that the last week of April and the first week of May tend to be slightly lower-than-average crowd weeks. I have been to Walt Disney World Resort the first week in May and found it to be a really good time to go. The weather was great, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival was blooming along, and the crowds were definitely lower than the spring break crowds we had once experienced! While crowd levels often fluctuate year to year, I think you really can’t go wrong picking either one of the weeks you mentioned.

I hope you have a magical vacation, Melissa, and please let me know if you have any further questions.
