We are thinking about visiting the first week of March or the first week of November and would like to find the time that is likely to have the least crowds. Knowing that both get busy mid-month, is one of the two months better for short lines? Thanks!

    Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for making a magical stop here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Planning the next vacation to The Happiest Place on Earth is always a Fantasmic time!

You sound like you are a Disney pro already. We like to enjoy the Disneyland Resort when it is not too crowded as well. The good thing is that both weeks you are considering are during the non-peak season. We like to visit during the middle of the week, Tuesdays to Thursdays, this is typically when the number of Guests in the park is a bit lower. However, it is hard to say which time of year would be better for shorter lines because the parks are always popular.

If you decide to visit in November, then you will get to enjoy the holiday overlay of The Nightmare Before Christmas movie at The Haunted Mansion attraction. I highly recommend experiencing this. The Disneyland Resort's rainy season is from January to March. However, we always pack a Mickey poncho & umbrella incase of a surprise rainfall no matter the time of year of our visit.

Historically, the Disneyland Resort has lower attendance from:

Mid-January through mid-March (Except for President's Day Weekend)
Mid-April through mid-May (Except during Spring Break)
Mid-September through mid-November (Except during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort)

I hope this helps in your decision and that you have a pixie-dusted time on your next visit. If you have any more questions, please visit me here and let me know how I can help you plan your magical vacation.

    Wishing you magic!
