Thinking of visiting Disney World for the very first time and staying at Art of Animation with my husband, 2 year old and 2 month old. Our toddler would love it, but I’m a bit hesitant to travel with baby so little. Any recommendations?

    Congratulations Ivonne!

I love a newborn baby, and I love that you are considering a family vacation to Walt Disney World. It is designed for families, and there is no better place to have a delightful trip with your toddler and baby! As the resident doctor of the group, before you finalize your plans, please make sure to check with your pediatrician to make sure that sweet babe is clear to go!

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is an excellent choice of resort. There is something for every kid (young and old), to delight in! From Little Mermaid to Cars, Nemo to The Lion King, your toddler will be immersed in all the fun with their favorite Pals. I suggest you consider a Family Suite. The spacious accommodations sleep up to six and provide separate sleeping areas. This way you can put sweet baby asleep in a different space while everyone else is awake.

In the Parks, the Baby Care Centers will be your best friend! They were (still are in fact!), my most frequent and favorite stop. They are full-service, complimentary facilities that are open during regular park hours. Inside you will find changing tables, private nursing rooms, a feeding area and much more. My kiddos favorite thing is the pint-sized toilets; my best thing is the on-site shop where you can pick up baby care essentials. They are the perfect oasis for "mom & company."

We just returned from a quick trip to Walt Disney World, and it included my newest six-week-old cousin. Plans were modified as necessary, but we had a wonderful time, and I am sure it will be the same for you. This trip may not involve hitting all four parks in one day, but what it will consist of is making the most magical memories with your babies, and that is PRICELESS.

    Best of luck!
