Hi - we are thinking about visiting Disney again this summer with our 3 children. Our son, age 8, has severe ADHD. I see there are accomodations for rides, however are there accoromations to avoid the long waits for the sit down dining?

    Hi Joy -

You are correct that there are guest assistance cards available for families facing medical challenges. The GAC can help with alternative entrances to rides and other accommodations.

As for meals, the way to avoid long waits is to have a reservation. You can make reservations for table service dining over the phone at 407-WDW-DINE or at disneyworld.com/dining. In my experience, if I have a reservation for a restaurant and show up on time for the reservation, then the vast majority of time I will spend less than ten minutes waiting for the table, often less than that.

With just a bit of planning, you can make reservations for all your meals and thus rarely have to wait for any dining.

Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World.
