    I was thinking about taking the shuttle from the airport to the cruise terminal and then staying extra days after the cruise gets back. Is there a car rental place by the terminal anywhere so we could rent one after we get back from the cruise?

    It is great to hear from you again!  There are several car rental agencies located near the cruise terminal in Port Canaveral.  Avis, Budget, and Hertz are your three options, and they usually provide a shuttle to their office from the port.
