We are thinking about taking a Disney cruise. My mom may come also. She would have her own stateroom. Does DCL charge extra for single passengers? (I know some cruise lines require double occupancy)

    Hi Susan!

This is an exceptionally exciting time for Disney Cruise Line with the Dream celebrating her one year anniversary and the brand new Fantasy setting sail very soon!  Just today, 2013 itineraries were released for the Disney Magic and Wonder, and some new amazing ports of call have been added.  I couldn't think of a better time to embark on one of the four fantastic ships in the the Disney fleet!

Disney Cruise Line has created the ultimate cruise experience for Guests of all ages!  Having your mother join you on the high seas will make your vacation even more magical! The room rates are based on double occupancy so if she chooses to book a stateroom with single occupancy, she will pay a higher rate than if she shared the room.  You can estimate how much this might be by looking at DisneyCruise.com and inputting your cruise info in the "Cruise Search" on the left hand side of the page.  Another option would be to call Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 and speak with a Vacation Reservation Agent about rates.

Please let me know if you have any further questions that I can assist you with before or after booking!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for visiting the Moms Panel!
