We are thinking about staying at The Villas at Wildnerness Lodge with our 3 boys almost 2, 5 and 7 so there is a separate place for the baby to nap, but is a monorail hotel for more convenient transportation to Magic Kingdom a better idea?

I've stayed at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge many times. It's my Disney Vacation Club home resort. The beauty of the villa set-up is that, other than in the studios (and I assume that with five people in your family you are not staying in a studio), there is more than one room for your family to be in. When my twins were smaller, we had them nap in the bedroom (OK, maybe my husband napped too) while my older daughter and I were able to be in the livingroom watching a video or having a snack. The extra room at the villas is also great in the evenings. We could put our girls to bed and then my husband and I could stay up and chat for a while without fear of waking the kids.

I have also stayed at the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian on the monorail system. In particular, I love the atmosphere at the Floridian, and the monorail is convenient. But for our family, the additional space we had at the villas was a lifesaver.
