Ahoy, Kevin!
Welcome aboard
planDisney, your one-stop answer shop for all your Disney vacation questions. Sounds like you’re planning a dreamy land and sea vacation, beginning with a stay at
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas before sailing out of Fort Lauderdale with
Disney Cruise Line. The best of both worlds!
My family has a similar vacation planned for this April! We’re starting with a few days at
Walt Disney World before sailing out of Fort Lauderdale on a 4-night Bahamian cruise on the
Disney Magic. While booking this vacation, I discovered that Disney Cruise Line does not offer
ground transportation between Disney Resort hotels and Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. They do offer transportation between Disney Resort hotels and Port Canaveral, but that is because this port is much closer to
Walt Disney World. This leaves you with a few options. You can stay overnight in a hotel near Port Everglades or fly into Fort Lauderdale and arrange transportation to the cruise terminal from the hotel or airport with Disney Cruise Line. Transportation between
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas and Port Everglades can also be booked through Mears Transportation.
No matter how you make your way to the cruise terminal, I know you will have a magical time at
Walt Disney World and onboard the
Disney Cruise Line. If we can answer any more questions or offer recommendations, remember *you’ve got a friend in me* here at planDisney, so stop by anytime!
Happy Planning!
