We are thinking of staying at AKL in June. I read that they offer guided night tours with the use of night vision goggles. Do you know if they are still doing this? Do you have to call ahead to register? Or can you register upon arrival? Thanks!!

    Hi Sherri!

I love the Animal Kingdom Lodge! Its a great choice of a resort and it may just spoil you forever!

The Night Vision Goggle animal viewing is just one of the fun activities offered at the lodge. Most nights, one or two animal care Cast Members are stationed just outside of one of the savannas. From there, you'll be able to use the goggles to look around at all of the animals enjoying their night out in the field.

This activity is free and does not require reservations. On my last trip to the lodge it was offered most nights. When you check in at the lodge they will provide you with a calendar of events and times that activities are offered.

Some other great activities offered regularly are African storytelling by the firepit, musical parades in the lobby and culinary tours of the lodge's restaurants.

Hope you have fun researching the lodge!
