    I am thinking about purchasing the memory maker for my family's trip to disney in Feb 2014 but we are not staying in the resort area and do not have magic bands can I still purchase this option

    Hi Nicole,

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I'm happy to report that you do not need to be using Magic Bands to be able to enjoy the benefits of the Memory Maker service or to buy it in advance.  I do recommend purchasing it at least 3 days before you arrive since there's a short waiting period before photos can be added to your account, plus you'll enjoy a nice discount.  All you need to do is go to the Memory Maker page, click "Purchase Memory Maker" and follow the steps from there.  If you're near your arrival date, the safest option is probably to pick up your Memory Maker at the Will Call window.
