Hello! We are thinking of planning a trip to WDW for May 22 ~ June 1, 2014. Is this a busy time of year to visit the parks? Will it be extremely crowded? We were also wondering if the Snow White mine train will be completed by then. Thanks!

    Hi there Sheri!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We're glad you're here!  I have personally visited Walt Disney World numerous times during the last week of May and have always found it to be a great time of year to experience the "Most Magical Place on Earth!" We usually arrive the Wednesday prior to Memorial Day Weekend and leave the day following Memorial Day. I have always found the crowds to be very minimal the first part of our week and increase over Memorial Day Weekend. With that being said, we have never found the crowds to be unmanageable or overly crowded. The independent website allears.net features a Historic Attendance Levels Chart which categorizes May as "moderate attendance," with the exception of Memorial Day Weekend, which is considered "highest attendance."

Unfortunately, there has not been an official opening date announced for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at this time. Follow the Disney Parks Blog for any official announcements regarding this highly anticipated new attraction coming to Magic Kingdom Park in 2014. I hope this information is helpful to you! Please don't hesitate to visit me again if I can be of further assistance with your vacation planning questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Sheri!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
