We are thinking of going in Oct. When I type in the dates it seems like the cost varies from day to day. Am I doing something wrong or does the price tend to change even if you are entering the same dates? Planning on going in Oct.

    Hi Lacy,

The posted prices of Disney resorts generally only changes once per year. If you're getting a big variation, then chances are you're making an error. Let me give you some things to try:

    - The rate for weekdays is often different than weekends. If you're changing dates even by one or two days, this might reflect a difference.
    - There are price differences with different types of rooms at the same resort. For example, a water view room is usually more expensive than a standard view room. If you've changed room types, this might reflect a difference.
    - The seasonal pricing might impact your stay if you're varying even by a day or two. For example, see the pricing page for the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The seasonal differences vary greatly.
    - Sometimes the online booking system automatically adds package pricing, with park tickets and dining plan, when you really just want the room price. Make sure the package boxes are not checked.

If you're still having problems, try making your reservation over the phone at 407-W-DISNEY. The reservationists there will be able to explain the pricing to you.

    Good luck!
