Hey there, hi there, Frika! Welcome, and thank you for bringing up this fantastic restaurant.
There are so very many
dining experiences that you can have at
Walt Disney World, but some just stay in my heart long after my last meal there.
Jiko - The Cooking Place is one of those restaurants for me. The food for us has always been excellent, the cast members who make your dinner magic happen are friendly and super helpful - especially when it comes to the extensive wine selection, and it's always an experience I walk away from thinking, "We've got to come to do this again next trip."
Located in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will be lured by the amazing cooking smells that fill the lobby even before you set foot in the restaurant. Although it doesn't appear on the
current Jiko menu website, there is definitely a kids' menu. On my recent visit, we were able to get options for my grandkids like the kid-friendly mac and cheese or pizza, but they also appealed to our more adventurous eater with a shrimp dish, fish, and steak. It's so great to have the pickiest eater and the culinarily curious eaters satisfied at the same place.
If you arrive a little early or can hang out a little later, don't forget to step out to the savanna, where you can view some of the beautiful animals that wander freely. With giraffes, zebras, and so much more, it's a fun little stop for kids and grown-ups alike.
Enjoy a memorable, magical meal, Frika!
