Thinking of ending our trip w/breakfast at Cape May then catching the ferry to MK for any last minute sight seeing. But read some mixed reviews, not so good. How long is the ferry ride to MK. I wanted Chef Mickey but it is booked any other suggestions?

First things first ... you can't get from the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club resort via ferry. The Beach Club is located in the Epcot resorts area. You could get to Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios by boat (or by walking), but to get to the Magic Kingdom, you'll need to take a bus. The bus ride itself is about 20 minutes long, but you'll want to allow yourself more time than that in case you end up waiting for a bus to arrive.

I have eaten at the Cape May Cafe for breakfast several dozen times, including three times in 2008. I have never been anything but perfectly happy with my meal there. Food-wise, this is one of my favorite Disney buffets. There is always a large selection of fresh fruit here and there's a great yogurt fixings bar. Plus, you get some great character interaction here as well. This restaurant is a bit smaller than most of the other character dining venues, so the characters have fewer guests to interact with. My experience has been that at Chef Mickey's each character will get around to your table once per meal. At the Cape May Cafe, I've often had each character visit our table two or even three times during a meal.

If you'd rather be in the Magic Kingdom area, there are breakfast character dining experiences at the Crystal Palace inside the Magic Kingdom and at Ohana in the Polynesian resort.
