    I was thinking of doing the St. John Trunk Bay Beach & Snorkel Tour (ST01). How deep is the water and what swimming ability does someone need? Are there life vest to use? If there is a non-swimmer, is there a place that is waist deep or place to watch?

    Hello again Robert!  I am glad that you continue to sail with us on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    The planning continues and I see you found a beautiful and relaxing adventure!  Trunk Bay is truly one of the most beautiful beaches and snorkeling I have had the pleasure of experiencing.  I find the coral beautiful and the water is an amazing jewel blue color that I haven't seen anywhere else.  If you chose this for your visit to St. Thomas you won't be disappointed.

    Floatation devices are included with the snorkeling equipment provided for your use while on this Port Adventure (St. John Trunk Bay Beach and Snorkel Tour).  The depth of the water you will find yourself in is dependent on the tide and can fluctuate by day and during you visit.  You can chose to swim to and from the beach which would give anyone in your party the opportunity to swim where they are most comfortable, yet you should be aware you may need to cross potentially deeper water during this adventure.

    If you have members of your party that are unsure about their comfort in the water but wish to see the beautiful coral and ocean life surrounding St. Thomas, you could consider the Coral World Ocean Park by Land and Sea Port Adventure.  This experience gives you an underwater tour and view of the coral in a submarine and a guided tour of Coral World with optional beach time as well.

    The Port of St. Thomas is gorgeous no matter how you decide to enjoy it.  Take a few moments to take in the beauty as there is plenty to see no matter where your viewpoint.
