Hi Moms! I am thinking of doing a Dinner Show (Spirit of Aloha?) and then the Pirates Fireworks Cruise on 9/29/12. How will I get from Polynesian to the Contemporary? (Will I have time?) What if we choose Hoop De Doo or Backyard BBQ?

Hi, Amy!  From the Polynesian to the Contemporary is just a quick loop on the monorail.  I'd allow about 30 minutes to go from one resort to the other.  You'll want to be careful, though, even with the short transportation time.  The theme parks generally close a little bit earlier at that time of the year, and I don't think you could do the earliest show followed by the Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise.  You might have to do the fireworks cruise first, followed by the latest Spirit of Aloha luau.

Travel time between the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness is a bit longer.  I would allow at least an hour to get from the Fort to the hotel for the cruise.  That might make it even more difficult to do a dinner show and the Pirates and Pals trip in the same night.

If it were up to me, I'd do the dinner show one night, and save the cruise for another.  Even though the dinner shows run very smoothly and definitely on time, I just don't think I'd want to spend a lovely evening rushing from place to place.

I hope you have a wonderful vacation!
