I was thinking of going to Disney in Dec to attend MVMCP but many reviews I've read say that the parties are overcrowed and bracelets were not checked often resulting in many regualr guest attending. Anyone experienced this? Still worth it in a crowd?

    Hi Allison,

December is a fantastic month to visit Disney World. If you come earlier in the month you get the double advantage of enjoying all of the wonderful holiday decorations and events, with typically minimal crowds.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a must do for our family. No matter how many times we have attended this party, we still return for the special parade and fireworks, the great character meet and greet opportunities, and the ability to enjoy a number of attractions with little if any wait. Personally I think the party is well worth the admission ticket price and have found that the crowds still tend to be much smaller than a regular park day.

While attending the parties last year, we were stopped at a number of locations and asked to show our wristband before we could continue on. I can recall across sections of Fantasyland, they actually had areas roped off at the beginning of the party, and the only way you could proceed was to show your wristband to a Cast Member. I am sure there is an occasional guest that gets past without a wristband simply due to the amount of guests in the park, but we still continue to enjoy smaller crowds and great parties and will continue to for many years to come.
