Hi there, Elizabeth!
Thank you for thinking of us here at planDisney as you start planning for a very special vacation. Multigenerational trips are always so memorable because it will allow you to experience the magic of Disney Cruise Line through the eyes of your grandchildren. I can't think of anything better!
This is a great question, because there are many things to consider when traveling with little ones. Disney Cruise Line offers you the option to purchase round-trip
ground transfers from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral and from Fort Lauderdale International Airport to Port Everglades. These can be added on when you reserve your sailing or up to three days before departure on the
Disney Cruise Line website, by
calling 1(800) 951-3532, or on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Since these transfers are on buses, they do not support car seats, so they are not required. If you are bringing them on the plane, they can be checked and placed underneath the motor coach with your luggage. You'll also need to plan on storing them in your stateroom. Depending on their size, they should fit nicely underneath the bed.
Elizabeth,
cruising with little ones is Disney's specialty. With so many
character experiences,
spaces designed just for the youngest sailors, and complimentary items like diaper disposal units and pack-n-plays, you'll love how well Disney Cruise Line takes care of you while onboard. My two were four and one on our first sailing, and although they don't have memories from it, the ones I have are priceless, along with the precious
photos we took while onboard. I hope that will be the same for your crew!
Thank you again for cruising over! We hope you'll visit us again as you continue to plan for a summer sailing with Disney Cruise Line.
Nancy
