Hi Michelle,
Welcome back to
planDisney! I'm excited to hear you already have a trip planned. I just know you'll be dazzled by all the magic that awaits you during your visit.
Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando-Disney Springs Area is a newer resort option for guests visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I haven't had the opportunity to stay here just yet, but based on its location near Disney Springs, you won't be too far from the excitement of the parks.
I put in a quick call to the front desk to get more details about travel times and drop-off locations. Their helpful staff member advised me that it's about a 10-15 min shuttle ride from their location to Magic Kingdom Park. Your shuttle will drop you at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) which will require either a Monorail or Ferryboat ride to the front gates.
Should you decide to keep your reservation at Disney's All Star Movies Resort, Disney's complimentary bus service will allow you to bypass a stop at the Transportation and Ticket Center. I'd also like to mention that Walt Disney World Resort Transportation runs continuously between the resorts and parks from 45 minutes prior to park opening until an hour after park closing. This may be an added convenience as you won't need to pre-schedule your transportation each day.
Wherever you decide to rest your head each night, you're in for a magical visit every day! There are a number of
new thrills to experience like TRON Lightcycle / Run and the return of the fan-favorite evening fireworks spectacular Happily Ever After. I'd recommend planning to experience both during your visit to Magic Kingdom Park.
Come on back and ask us any additional planning questions you have as you prepare for your vacation. We'd be happy to help.
See you real soon!
Amy
