We are thinking of changing our cruise to a land/sea combination in May 2014 and had a question about hotels. Which hotels do the cruise shuttles pick up at directly the morning of the cruise? We want to avoid having to get to another hotel with luggage!

Welcome aboard, Samantha! You have quite a few options when staying at a hotel or resort the night before your cruise from Port Canaveral.

Of course, any of the Walt Disney World resorts are always the perfect option for a pre- or post-cruise stay. Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation will pick guests up at the resorts and take them to Port Canaveral. After the cruise, this same ground transportation will take guests from the port to the airport or to the Walt Disney World Resort. There is an additional fee of $35 per person each way, but my family loves that Disney's transportation takes care of all of the details, making our transition from land to sea and back again absolutely seamless and stress-free! All of Disney's resorts are pick-up stops for this ground transportation, Samantha. Just call Disney Cruise Line to add this to your reservation, and you'll specify your resort.

If you'd prefer to stay at an airport hotel before your cruise, you can also utilize Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation.

Some guests prefer to stay at a hotel near Port Canaveral and take a shuttle from their hotel to the port. A few with park and cruise options or shuttles to the port are: Residence Inn Cape Canaveral, Country Inn and Suites Cape Canaveral, and Radisson Resort Cape Canaveral. Do a google search for Port Canaveral hotel with cruise shuttle and you'll see these options.

My family's preference is always to choose a Disney Resort, as it adds that much more magic to the beginning or end of our cruise vacation! I hope that helps as you continue planning, Samantha. I'm happy to help if you have other questions before you set sail!
