Hi Tony!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We love to help with all sorts of details for upcoming Walt Disney World vacations.
It sounds like you are considering a perfect time to visit
Walt Disney World. When my children were much younger and school schedules weren't a huge factor in vacation timing, we loved to vacation in early February. The Florida weather is often perfect - warm during the day with cooler evenings. The sun is so much more manageable. Of course, when planning with Mother Nature it is nearly impossible to predict what the weather might be. To be totally honest, we've also had February vacations where heavy sweatshirt and gloves were required! On these extremely cold days, your resort pool may be temporarily closed until the weather warms up. Luckily, the weather often shifts quickly, so cold snaps don't last very long.
In general, I wouldn't hesitate to plan a trip for this time of year. Walt Disney World Resort's pools are heated to a wonderful 82 degrees (F) year-round. This means the water is always perfect for a swim. One thing to consider is packing something to warm up in after you hop out of the pool. Your
resort will provide plenty of towels, but an easy zip-up sweatshirt or warm top might be a good addition to your packing list. Of course, you could always just hop in the hot tub/spa to warm up! That's always a good choice!
I hope this helps you pick your vacation dates! Don't hesitate to reach back out to us if we can help with any additional details!
