Thinking about bringing DD Valentine's Day weekend 2010. Is it normally crowded during that time & how soon can we view a "special events" calender. Do not want to be there during any cheer competitions. Thanks

Hey Shari!  That is awesome that you are planning a trip for your DD.  However, I will tell you that is one busy weekend you are looking at for your trip.  I have been to WDW every month in the year, and one of the most crowded times I have ever been was in February on Valentine's Day.  I believe this is because not only is it the Valentine's holiday, but it's also President's Day and many schools are out for a break during this time.
If possible, consider the last weekend of January or the end of February, I think you might be much more pleased with the crowds at this time.  And I believe a lot of the big cheer competitions are held right after New Year's and during Spring Break time in March.
I hope this helps with your planning and thanks so much for coming to the Mom's Panel with your great question.
