Thinking about breakfast reservations at Disney BoardWalk before Epcot opens, the going to Epcot - what's the best way to get from Animal Kingdom Lodge to the BoardWalk resorts?

    Chelsea,

Thanks for your question to planDisney!

So while there is no direct route between Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's BoardWalk via the Disney Transportation system, you can get there without too many changes along the way. What I would recommend you do is

    • Hop on a bus from Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, heading to Disney's Hollywood Studios. This should take you about 15 to 25 minutes of travel time.
    • Once there, rather than entering the park you should hop on the Disney Skyliner heading towards Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Ride time will be about 6 minutes.
    • At that Disney Skyliner station just change over to the Skyliner route that heads to EPCOT. Ride time on this leg will be about 13 to 14 minutes.

Your total travel time should be about 35-40 minutes, not including any wait times along the way. If this seems like too much, your alternative would be to grab a ride share service that will be more direct, but will cost you some money. I actually find the travel tied to the Disney Skyliner to be scenic, relaxing, and frankly kind of fun. So if it were me I would follow the steps above, unless I was running late.

Write me back if you have any other questions.
