Ahoy, Lacey!
A last minute cruise sounds very exciting, and the best part is you won't have many days to count down! It's a great time to experience a little pixie dust and Disney "Magic" so I hope it all works out for you.
Although Disney Cruise Line recommends a valid passport as proof of citizenship, a certified birth certificate (copy or original) along with a government-issued photo ID is also acceptable on cruises leaving and returning to the same U.S. port like the one you are considering out of
Miami. My best advice is to read over the
Passport Information, so you are informed about your decision to travel without one. The reason Disney Cruise Line recommends them is in the event of an unlikely emergency because air travel from foreign ports of call like the
Bahamas does require a valid passport.
Lacey, thank you for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! Good luck with your plans. I hope you get a chance to set sail on the
Disney Magic!
