Thinking about best time to visit Disney World Florida, November or December?

    Hey there,

George thank you so much for stopping by planDisney. This is an excellent question and it really depends on how you want to celebrate your visit. Both months offer great decorations, and both have special offerings at a multitude of parks. I’ve visited during both months and it’s going to be a tough call.

Walt Disney World during November has so many wonderful things to enjoy, you will want to visit the International Food and Wine Festival that EPCOT hosts each year. This festival has wonderful plates paired with perfect beverages located all throughout World Showcase. Each Global Marketplace has different types of food and drink inspired by the countries they are located in. There are adult beverages as well as beverages without spirits. This festival runs through November 22, 2025. There are also performances during this festival by legendary artists. This year new to the festival are The Beach Boys and they are performing towards the end of this festival on November 16 and 17th. Earlier in the month Boyz II Men is taking the stage on November 2-3. Hollywood Studios will be hosting Jollywood Nights on six different nights in November. This event really has glitz and glamour, written all over it. It gives you the feels of walking into a movie during the holidays. Jollywood Nights a limited ticket event and offers live entertainment as well as specialty food items, and beverages.  There will be special performances and shows all over the park, including one starring The Muppets. There are also lower wait times on select attractions, and special meet and greet with characters that aren’t always available. For example, The Three Caballeros and Sticth dressed as Santa.

December will bring Mickey‘s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. This is when Magic Kingdom is at it's absolute best in my opinion. When this park dresses up for the holidays it goes all out. There are stage shows that only happen during this party, Elsa and Anna and the snowgies will transform Cinderella Castle into a frozen wonderland this year. And of course EPCOT always delivers on the festivals and the holidays are no different. This festival runs through December 28 and is very similar to the Food and Wine festival with the booths. Also for the foodies, there is a wonderful cookie stroll where you can check five off cookies during your visit. Once you get those stamps you will receive a special surprise at Holiday Sweets and Treats. There will also be overlays in multiple areas, including one of my absolute favorites attractions Living with the Land. You can also meet multiple versions of Santa Claus. Like Père Nöel in the France Pavilion, and Barn Santa in Norway.

I realize I may have given you zero help on, which month is better. But honestly, if you visit for the last couple of days of November and first couple of days of December you may be able to enjoy both months, and almost all of what I mentioned. If you have any other questions head on back to ask me another question and I will be happy to help again.

    Happy planning,

    Jeremy A.
