Thinking of arriving on Thanksgiving Day. Are the parks extremely crowded that day/weekend? Also, where would be the best traditional turkey dinner be served?

Hi, Andrea!  Thanksgiving weekend is one of the busiest at Walt Disney World.  You will usually find the parks quite busy, with longer than normal waits for many of the rides and attractions.  That doesn't mean it isn't a great time to go!  Along with the crowds, you will find holiday decorations, many of the holiday festivities, longer hours, and all the the Walt Disney World fun and excitement!

As for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, you will find that at many of the restaurants.  Although the holiday menus have not yet been announced, in years past, the buffets have all featured Thanksgiving items in addition to some regular buffet favorites, and some of the sit down restaurants have offered only Thanksgiving menus.  Our favorites from years past include the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club, Olivia's at Old Key West, and Le Cellier at the Canada pavilion in EPCOT.

If you go, I hope you have a wonderful time.  The holidays are among the best times to visit Walt Disney World!
