Is it still possible to send letters to Disney characters? If so could you provide the address? Thank you, Karen

Hi there Karen and welcome to planDisney!

As someone who was a former Entertainment Cast Member, it's always nice to see guests continue to send in letters to our Character friends and while it may never be guaranteed that these are necessarily received nor responded to, folks around the world continue to do so every year. I recently sent wedding invitations to Mickey, Minnie and the gang for my Disney Fairy Tale Wedding this year and was delighted when they were able to attend with an extra bit of magic sprinkled onto our big day.

From my research and my personal experience you may currently send your letters to the following address here at Walt Disney World Resort:

    • (Character Name)
      c/o Walt Disney World Communications
      P.O. Box 10040
      Lake Buena Vista, Florida
      32830-0040

Our friends over at Disneyland Resort also have a dedicated address where mail may be sent, but I've personally had more luck with the one above; to improve your chances of receiving a response it may be a good idea to include a self-addressed envelope with adequate postage along with your letter. (If you're lucky you just might receive an autographed response or a postcard from your favorite friends, but you're also just as likely to have to just enjoy the feeling of sending well wishes in the mail without expecting anything in return.)

For an extra-special touch, I brought my envelopes over to the friendly folks at Guest Relations in Magic Kingdom Park in order to get them specially ink stamped before I popped my mail into the box right on Main Street, U.S.A. a month before the big day. Keep in mind that offerings like these are always subject to availability and may change without prior notice, but it doesn't hurt to try and have a bit of fun with the process along the way! In the meantime, it might also be a good idea to check out some special Character Experiences on your next visit and many folks and families choose to take the opportunity to bring along cards, letters and even little gifts that a Character Attendant may hang onto on their behalf. I hope this helped, Karen; come on back again for any more tips and tricks that we're always happy to share here at planDisney!

Wishing you all the best on your quest for a special bit of Mickey Mail!
