Do you think it is necessary to have a stroller for a 2 1/2 year old? If so, better to rent or to buy a cheap umbrella stroller with a shoulder strap so we can throw it over our shoulder when she inevitably decides she'd rather walk around?

Hi from another Jersey girl!  I would bring a stroller for a 2 1/2 year old, if only to save my own sanity!  I know my 3 year old still gets tired from walking around the parks, and even though she has spent less and less time in the stroller as she gets older, there is A LOT of walking to do at Walt Disney World.  The stroller can also be a lifesaver if she gets tired and falls asleep - it can get pretty hot carrying a little one through the theme parks!

As for renting or bringing your own, I like to bring my own.  It saves a little time going into the parks in the morning when Princess Preschooler is not yet fully awake and patient enough to wait in line for the rented stroller.  I also think it's nice having a stroller to throw your bags and stuff into if you have to walk from the bus stop to your room when you get back to the resort.
